At PohlCon Ibérica, 2025 has been exactly that. A year to...and the foundation for real digitalisation of product data.

In this article we gather the main milestones of the year with a clear idea...to record what we have built in 2025.

2025 as a year of consolidation and an orderly change

If we had to sum up 2025 in one sentence, it would be this: an evolution with our feet on the ground.

There are changes that happen fast and others that are worth doing well...with a strategic direction that looks to the future, focused on standardisation and digital connection with the sector.

And all of it with one important point: keeping what has brought us here...a nimble response, and technical judgement applied to real projects.

 

Brand evolution, from PUK to PohlCon Ibérica

One of the most important milestones of 2025, as we detailed...has been the shift from PUK Portacables to PohlCon Ibérica as the company name. This change is part of an international single-brand strategy, with coordinated presence across the different PohlCon Group locations.

Even so, it is important to explain it as we have lived it in the market...during 2025 many clients still identified us by the PUK brand, and that was natural. It is a brand with many years in the sector, associated with quality and reliability. In 2026, communication will already be centred on PohlCon as the commercial brand, with a consolidated identity that is coherent across all channels.

What changes and what stays the same

In 2025 some things have changed, and others have remained intact.

What changes:

Corporate identity and the way we present ourselves to the market as a company.

Visual and message consistency within the international PohlCon Group

What stays the same:

The local team, the way we work and the close relationship.

Technical support and guidance, which remains a central part of our company.

The same headquarters in Abrera, with relevant internal improvements.

Facilities in Abrera, same location, a new stage

Abrera has always been a key point for our operations and our closeness...to the industrial fabric of Baix Llobregat. In 2025, the headquarters has not changed location, it is still the same, but it has changed inside.

The refurbishment has been complete, both in offices and in the warehouse...with an optimised layout and a corporate image aligned with the new stage of PohlCon Ibérica. The improvement is not only aesthetic; it is designed to operate better, serve better and respond more agilely.

Office refurbishment to work more smoothly

When a company grows, there comes a time when the space must be optimised...and that is precisely what we have done: redistributing the offices to facilitate coordination between departments, creating an improved meeting room, enabling and improving the space where we support and deliver training to our clients.

The refurbishment has aimed to improve response times with a more ordered, practical environment...and to support a team that works with technical projects and queries that require precision.

Warehouse and optimised layout

The warehouse is a strategic piece in a sector where projects do not wait...and delivery times are very valuable. Reorganising the layout, access points and internal flows has a direct impact on a more agile service.

We are talking about a simple logic: if operations are well designed, the customer notices...they notice it in response speed, in coordination and in the ability to solve day-to-day work with less friction.

 

Presence in the sector: trade fairs, conversations and partnerships

We wanted to show our...brand change and learn first-hand what our clients have felt, by being present, listening, sharing and understanding where the sector is moving.

And to do so, in 2025 we have been present at different meeting points...with special weight in a key event for the market.

MATELEC and GENERA within the International Week of Electrification and Decarbonisation

In November, MATELEC and GENERA were held under the same umbrella...the International Week of Electrification and Decarbonisation, from 18 to 20 November at IFEMA Madrid.

For us, it was a relevant meeting for two reasons:

  • It allowed us to be close to manufacturers, distributors, engineering firms and installers...in a real context of innovation and energy transition.
  • It was a clear opportunity to reinforce our presence after the name change to PohlCon Ibérica.

Other key meetings of the year

In addition to IFEMA, 2025 has included other points of conversation and sector networking...such as Conecta Elektra and professional meetings where the most valuable part is technical conversations, real site needs, and clear signals of where the market is going.

And from these meetings we obtain valuable information from distributors, installers, … where comments follow the same pattern: more speed is requested, more precision, clearer documentation, and a greater capacity for digital connection of product data.

Fortunately, at PohlCon Ibérica we already meet practically all of them, except product digitalization, where we still have a way to go, but as you will read later, it is our commitment for 2026.

 

The team grows where it adds the most value to the customer

In 2025 the team has been strengthened, focusing our efforts on adding profiles that help in two vital points:

  • Technical support and the commercial relationship in projects.
  • Marketing and communication coordination to be more consistent.

Technical-commercial reinforcement

In practice, strengthening the technical-commercial role means improving response times, organizing enquiries, and being more present when the customer needs judgement to decide.

In a cable tray system, in an underfloor solution...or in a need for protection and fixing, the technical detail matters. Supporting each project well avoids errors, shortens timelines and reduces rework.

So it has been our commitment to meet customer needs in the Levante area...with a technical-commercial professional with long experience in the sector.

Marketing reinforcement

In 2025 the marketing area has also been strengthened, the reason is simple: when a brand evolves, it needs coherence. Coherence in message, in content, in documentation, and in how the technical side is explained without losing clarity.

This connects directly with what is coming in 2026, more brand consistency and a clear commitment to digital presence.

 

Supporting the community through our values

At PohlCon Ibérica we support local collaborations for a very specific reason, they reflect values we feel are our own and that we want to back with real action projects that promote wellbeing and respect for animals.

 

Consistency with a vision of corporate responsibility

These collaborations make sense because they come from a way of understanding the company that goes back a long way, acting responsibly, contributing to the environment and doing so with coherence.

For us, social responsibility is not a one-off action or a marketing message...it is a commitment that translates into real decisions, in how we work, in how we relate to the community, and in how we seek to contribute to people’s wellbeing and to a more sustainable industry.

Digitalization as a commitment: first steps in 2025

If there is one strategic axis that marks 2025 and prepares 2026, it is digitalization. Not as a buzzword, but as a practical need of the sector.

In December 2025, PohlCon’s incorporation into the ETIM Spain project and the Electronet platform was announced.

 

What ETIM means for the sector

ETIM is a product classification standard to identify and share technical information in a structured way, facilitating data exchange between manufacturers, distribution and other actors in the chain. (ETIM International)

In simple terms, there is less ambiguity, less rework, more data consistency, and a more solid base for catalogues, e-commerce, integrations and technical documentation.

Electronet as a digital meeting point

The Electronet Platform, for its part, is presented as a sector space...to share product data and digital commercial documents, driven by sector associations, and with ETIM integrated in its database.

ETIM 10.0 is integrated into a sector platform and that works with data coded with that version is enabled shows where the market is going: standardise to operate better.
