From Martorell to Southern Europe: 30 Years of Technical Solutions
The Beginning of a Shared Journey
It all started in Germany, where founder Francisco Redondo worked at PUK Werke. In the late 1980s, he led the installation of cable support systems at the SEAT factory in Martorell. The success of this project led to the opening of the Spanish branch in 1992, first in Olesa de Montserrat and, a year later, at its current headquarters in Abrera.
Since then, PUK Portacables has grown and strengthened its presence in key sectors such as automotive, tunnels, infrastructure, and energy. Today, with our new legal name, PohlCon Ibérica distributes high-quality technical solutions in Spain, Portugal, and Italy.
Who is PohlCon, and Why This Change?
PohlCon is a German industrial group with over 100 years of experience in electrical cable management systems, construction structures, and fastening solutions. It brings together specialized companies like PUK Group, JORDAHL, and H-BAU Technik, offering innovation and technical excellence across Europe.
The transformation of PUK Portacables S.L. into PohlCon Ibérica S.L. is not a rupture, but a natural evolution: we remain the same team, with the same values and the same close customer service. Only the legal name changes, strengthening our identity as part of a leading international group.
It is important to highlight that PUK remains our commercial brand for all the products we distribute in, a name recognized and trusted in the electrical industry for its high manufacturing standards.
A Family Legacy Moving Forward with Passion
Behind the growth and success of PUK Portacables over the last 33 years stand two key figures: Francisco Redondo and Marion Redondo, who led the company from its inception with a clear vision and an exemplary work ethic. Their legacy is measured not only in technical solutions or installations, but in the values, they instilled: effort, trust, customer commitment, and doing things right.
Today, that same vision lives on through the second generation. Leadership now lies with their children, Daniel Redondo (General Manager) and Sandra Redondo (Deputy Director), who have proudly taken on the challenge of carrying the project even further.
